Ben McCollum, a native of Thomasville, Georgia, recognized many years ago that an incredible opportunity exists to represent and promote the quality land and historic properties that have come to define the area. An avid sportsman, Ben realizes that the Red Hills of South Georgia and North Florida offers access to some of the finest quail shooting in the country. Consequently, the area is home to the largest concentration of traditional quail hunting plantations in the world. Ben founded The Wright Group to cater exclusively to discerning Buyers and Sellers of our area’s unique properties. The area’s plantation culture is a highly regarded way of life, and due to a relative small supply, access to this exclusive lifestyle is limited. In addition to his keen understanding of the area and its residents, Ben has a bachelor’s degree in forest resources. This insight has proved invaluable in assessing the recreational and timberland component of the properties he represents. As broker for The Wright Group, Ben is fortunate to experience, first hand, the lifestyle that he represents. If you are considering investing in a timberland, recreational, or historic property in the area, you will find the expertise and objectivity provided by The Wright Group and its talented staff to be second to none.

Max & Judge
Out of the One Oak Kennel, Max and Judge collectively serve as our in house wildlife biologist. They have effectively assisted in wild quail studies, conducting covey count analysis across both the Red Hills and Albany Plantation belts. Max, our Brittany, is well qualified with a bloodline tracing back to Nolan’s Last Bullet. He is adept as both a pointer and retriever and enjoys spending long days in mature upland forest and cold mornings in the duck blind. His protege, Judge, is an English Cocker who posses the rare ability to both point, flush, and retrieve. He is already winning accolades in the field and took home the Red Hills Spaniel Trial blue ribbon in the puppy division. When not in the woods, both dogs can be routinely found at The Wright Group office in historic downtown Thomasville and welcome you to stop by for a quail consultation and a scratch behind the ears.
