This circa 1856 house was originally designed by John Wind, the noted English born architect responsible for some of the area’s most iconic plantation homes including Greenwood, Susina, Pebble Hill, and Oak Lawn. Fair Oaks is one of the areas earliest plantations, with a history dating back to 1840 when it consisted of approximately 4000 acres, and was one of the most preeminent farms of its time, complete with a grist mill.
